Question Kooks 1-7/8 x 2" stepped headers - engine bay clearance problems?

Two questions for those running Kook's 1-7/8" x 2" stepped headers on an F-body:
1) What sort of clearance problems (if any) can I expect?

2) Is the collector a slip-fit design or does it use a flange?

EDIT: I should clarify that by "clearance" I do not mean ground clearance. Thinking more about engine bay clearances...

My buddy (ramairws6) ordered a stepped set and had one side on, but for some reason that I don't recall they didn't fit on the other side. He ended up sending them back and going with the regular 1 7/8 Kooky's.

Maybe he will chime in here....

Hopfully a K member will help with room.

I would be interested to hear his experiences with these headers. If you have a chance I would appreciate if you could point him to this thread.

Based on the available tubular K-member designs I've seen to date, they are not an option for me so I'm going to have to make it work with stock unless something else makes its way to market (LG maybe ).

Yea that is the thing, he left for Mexico today for a Vacation.... If he calls in to check on things I will ask.

I have those Headers and I dont have any problems
well I had the slp and they hang low

i have lots of info on these - the passenger side slides right in(still had to cut the k meber alil bit to give some clearance -after bolting them up is when they lost the clearance from the k, was pushing againts the k member pretty hard before i sawzawed a small peice out)

now the driver side is a slight nightmare untill you jack the engine up and cut the k member , wich is weird because the drivers side didnt really need much clearance after it was in and bolted up just needed the clearance to get it in there. i only had to cut both sides of the k member and have the oil filter off before installing them, the engine was also unbolted and jacked up about 3 inches above the mounts.

they are slip fit.

i have pictures also - dont have one of the passenger side after it was cut yet though , maybe later i'll put that up if anyone wants to see.

Mine fit with no issues but i have a PA-tubular K member

cool i give info and find a question i wanted answered in the same thread... i guess i wouldnt benifit as much as before switching to a tubular k member as now mines missing alil bit of metal lol
