I enjoyed the sound and quality so much I just bought B&B(quad tips cause they look so good) for my 02 Z28, plus some LT pacesetters, offroad ypipe, and a cutout. Next weekend will be spent under the Z. Can't wait.

Ωmega - I have looked at the T-rex, all I can say is wow!, but I think it is a little big for my needs.

Yea, it's a pretty purpose specified cam.

Any cam will sound good through it I imagine. the 233/239 that you're looking at in the other thread is one of my favorites!

I never dynoed the difference. I always run with the cutout open anyway. The exhaust is for sound on the street anyway.

Its not that terribaly expensive. I know Ive seen it places for less than Corsa or GMMG. I cant remember where, let me do some research.

My logic in that is when you open the cut-out, the muffler is what is removed mostly from the equation of flow. When they gain power that much power, I put 2 and 2 together and figured the muffler doesn't flow very well. I sure as hell didn't gain that much off my cut-out open. I'm not saying it is a bad cat-back. I'm just saying if you are buying it for performance, you are wasting your money. It looks awesome and is probably one of the better sounding cat-backs. It had a very clean/smooth sound to it. Secondly, you can't compare the mufflers on the vette systems to the muffler of the f-body verson. The vette mufflers are practically bullets.

Well I had a 80 Series Flowmaster muffler on my car using the stock exhaust and some muffler shop bent pipe to make the stock tips fit.... Then I got the B&B. Here's a dyno sheet of my car with no mods but lid and exhaust in a 3rd gear pull. The reason we did 3rd gear is because my car came with a 117 mph speed limiter, and I wanted to see what the higher rpm look like.

I just ordered a Qtech cutout....minus the electric part to install on the car, gonna have to do a open and closed dyno to see what gains I get.

My whole point to you is that you should gain with your cutout open and just because you do doesnt mean the muffler doesnt flow. Do a dyno test and see what the difference is between it and another catback. A cut out test doesn't prove anything except that cutouts work. Put a magnafow on there and then a B+B and records the numbers. Then you have proof, not a guess.

I understand where you are coming from, but who gains 3 mph from a open cut out on a bolt-ons car, on the same day? I'm just saying that yes, it is partly the cut-out doing its job, but that is a huge difference. I've asked several shops about b&b and they all say it doesn't flow very well.

Well, we have established it flows better than a Flowmaster 80 series muffler on a otherwise stock exhaust

I will be putting my cutout on this saturday, and I'll dyno the car again in a few weeks, so then we'll know what's up.

I have it and love it. Only other Exhaust I'd go for is the GMMG. But I like the look and mellow sound of the B&B Triflow.

I have no cats and it sounds great I think. As far as it not flowing, I have Pace Setter LT's ORY, Lid, and the B&B and made (made 338 HP and 357 Tq.( made 336HP on a previous hotter day). So I was pretty happy with that. Up from 304HP with lid and Flowmaster.

For more of a comparison, my friend dynoed the same days I did. When I had a lid and the flow master, he made 306hp on his WS6 with a lid and stock exhaust. He then got Flowtech LT and ORY and Borla cat back and Dynoed 330HP think it was. (1hp diff between open borla and closed). Main diff between our cars is that he has an Auto WS6 and I have a 6 speed TA.
