I didnt do the install, All Pro did. But no, they are slip on collectors and fit nicely on the headers without any welds

How does the no x/h pipe work? Bad *** looking, but just curious why it was done this way.

No, you don't need an X crossover. You don't need true duals either. Or a lid or pulley - or sticky tires for that matter.

No X/H = no scavenging, right? I'd like to see your dyno #'s after this.

I was just wondering because some people were having some leaking problems and had to weld them up. I guess right now it's just the luck of the draw if the leak or not.

will you loose power without an x/h-pipe?

like weestro said, i'd like to see the dyno results.

I run an X on dual exhaust just for the simple fact of the smoother sound

You shouldn't lose hp, but you'll leave alot on the table not having the scavenging benefit of a good X crossover. Topend power may be pretty close between the two, but mid-range power and torque is usually substantially more with an X.

I see you fit both 2.5" pipes over the pan hard bar upper brace with no problems.
I've looked at this clearance before and wondered why people say you need some form of relocation or removal of the bar when there looks to be enough room.
Looks like it just takes a skilled shop, not the average hack, cut, and paste exhaust shop.

looks great. prolly has more clearence by not running a xpipe.

if people can fit a 4in mufflex over the axle, then 2 2.5in pipes shouldnt be a big deal

It was a really tight fit. The floorboard had to be pounded in a little(no affect on the interior) to accomidate for the pipe that goes back accross the car at the rear....right where the pipe comes down from over the axle.

Nice looking work. Just curious tho, You removed the air system but, kept the cats? Is that just for the backpressure concerns you mentioned? I would wonder without the air if the cats won't heat up fast enough to pass emissions or are you just concerned about backpressure and not passing emissions? I don't want to sound rude, it is a really set up. I would get rid of the stamped tin gm cross plate and put in a drive shaft safety loop in the factory spot like a lakewood or what have you. Once again congrats on the nice work.

Very nice fit, dude.

I'd like to mention that they way you ran them alongside each other, you could cut you a short piece of 2 1/2" pipe and join the two together for that equalization/scavenging that people are talking about. And you'd keep most of your sound qualities too, though the EQ tube would smooth it out some.
