No clue how to wire DMH cutout

No clue how to wire DMH cutout just got my DMH in and i have no idea how to wire it, I know u have to put a hole in the shifter grommet and then im puttin the switch in the ash tray, but what do I do with the 2 wires that come out of the switch? somebody help me
should be a red and a black wire, red goes to power wire, I hooked mine to the pink wire under the dash, black I bolted to a nut on the steering column under the dash. hope this helps some

nvmd i figured it out, brought it up from under the passenger rear seat through the drain plug, under the carpet, to the center console, then spliced it with cigarette lighter and the cig ground wire, i am now in love with it
