i have installed many aftermarket parts and i have yet to cut/sawzall anything. also, you might soon realize...stainless doesn't mean it will never rust, stainless only means that it is LESS SUSCEPTIBLE to rust. and in all honesty, i think my coated pacesetters look better than those stainless headers. i could buy almost 3 sets of pacesetters to your one set of stainless wonders. not to sound like a dick, but the phrase "more money than sense" comes to mind when i think of this ongoing debate. so you got 25rwhp with them, good job. i buy pacesetters and still have $600 left over to buy other parts. i know i can generate say 10 rwhp with $600...

i just don't get how these dudes can sell $1,000 headers that don't even f'n fit. wtf? oh well, i am happy with my cheapo ceramic coated pacesetters...the car doesn't see rain or snow, which leads me to believe that i made a good choice.
well said man. im helping a buddy, as we speak install, install a set of these qtp headers and it is a bitch. ive installed pacesetters, kooks, and hookers before and never had a problem like this. i will never buy another longtube header other than a pacesetter. they go in with absolutley no problem and they clear everything just fine. a little adjusting is sometimes necessary, but the sawzall **** and all that is ridiculous.

i will stick with my pacesetters. they are ceramic coated, they look good, they fit well, they clear everything, and they make the same power.

That's too bad....I installed my 1 3/4 qtp's 3.5 years ago and had no problems whatsoever. I didn't even have to remove or adjust anything. I guess it must depend on the tolerances in that certain batch. I have heard of problems with every type of header at one time or another so I don't think there is one totally perfect header at every single install.

It also depends on the car as well. I have seen headers (any make) that go on with absolutely no issues on one car and then those SAME headers are a real bitch to get on a different car with the same guy installing them. How do you explain that???

Yea, I think unless you have an aftermakret K-Member (one of my next purchases) any headder install has the possibility of giong south in one respect or another. Tolerances is usually a reason they don't install one thing or another from the factory. Look at the SRT-4 Neon for example. you can either have a TURBO or Cruise Control, but because of regulation, there are not enough distances between installed items to have both.

I love the QTPs though. 331 whp for nothing but exhaust was not bad... let alone 349whp 362 torque for nothing but exhaust and ECU tune. w00t
