Help: I installed SLP Long Tubes and y-pipe is banging the floor board.

Help: I installed SLP Long Tubes and y-pipe is banging the floor board. I Put SLP long tubes on about two weeks ago and every sense then the y-pipe bangs at wide open throttle and I can.t find where its banging at.Have anybody had this problem before?? and what did you do about it.

Re: Help: I installed SLP Long Tubes and y-pipe is banging the floor board. Might wanna check your factory DS plate. Mine banged for a day. I took the plate off and crimped it in the middle so it hangs a little lower. Hasn't banged since.
But...I changed to a x-pipe system just a couple of days ago and just went ahead and removed the plate.

Re: Help: I installed SLP Long Tubes and y-pipe is banging the floor board. Could be back at the intermediate pipe, if the headers aren't angled down far enough, the pipe can hit. I remember someone posting about it before. To change the angle, loosen the header bolts and rotate the headers around the center bolt to line them up.

Re: Help: I installed SLP Long Tubes and y-pipe is banging the floor board. Mine banged on the driver's side of the Y pipe. I loosened everything then inserted a 2X4 then retightened, then removed the board. I'm also currently using a torque strap which helps alot!
