Supplies a bit of fresh air so the cats have
something to burn CO and HCs with. Without
AIR your post-cat oxygen sensor won't see
the proper mixture I reckon. Cats will foul
quicker if there is nothing to burn off the
soot. If cats are gone, then AIR pump has no
purpose.

A.I.R. Tube functions? I did a search for A.I.R tubes and see that lots of people are removing them but what do they actually do for the car? Is it just an emissions device? I want to remove them from my C5 (yes I have LS1Edit to remove SES lights) and was wondering what they actually did b/f I remove them. Thanks.
