Mandrel vs Old school

Mandrel vs Old school Well im in the process of making a Cat bypass system but noticed that bye doing this the local muffler shop isn't gona be able to do mandrel bends.. my question is will i loose power? or will it be no icrease in power over stock? (except for the noise) if n e thing i just don't wana loose power. i no Mandrel flows better.. but couldn't i just use 2.5' then shrink the end to fit the Y pipe? and yes the shop can shrink pipes <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Re: Mandrel vs Old school The "old" way isn't that bad. I doubt you will see much difference is the flow... of course that depends on how much they crush the pipe <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Ya if n e thing im gona try to make it a bit bigger then stock..more flow..its 2.5' at the flange and 2.25' at the y pipe.. i might get them to use a piece of 2.5' and custom fit the 2.25' end. what do u think of that idea?
