Default Ceramic Coating or Sterling From Jet-Hot?

Which coating is better to have
on a set of hooker long tube headers,
the ceramic from hooker or
the jet-hot coating?

Jet hot is ceramic 'metallic' coating.....go to their site and they will send you info including a video.

http://www.jet-hot.com

Or ask for Chris Morris he is very nice and can send you that info.

In the industrial applications I work with, there are differences in coatings from different companies. I'm not saying you are wrong, I would like to know the answer to this as well. I just had my TTS's re-coated with Jet Hot 2000 (Black) because I hated how they looked with the TTS coating. (I also had the emissions fittings deleted and filled in...)

I have seen alot of headers with their OEM coatings look like crap after a few weeks. Does anyone have any experience with the "premium" coatings such as Jet Hot?

Thanks,
Shane

I skipped out on letting Jet-Hot coat my headers. I went to a local place here in town and had them ceramic coated sterling. That was over a year ago and my headers are still holding up and really shiny. The place that did it here was really cheap too. They did my headers, y-pipe, and cutout for $170...and that was inside and out

Just got my MACS back from Jet-Hot this morning. They look great. Sterling finish. I cleaned the welds on the tubes up before I sent them. You get a lifetime waranty on the finish if you send them new, never installed headers. Worth the money IMHO.

I've heard that Hooker doesn't coat the inside of the header...

I have the Jet Hot sterling coating on my macs and I love the look. They coated them inside and out and look as close to chrome as I've seen any finish look while still providing that thermal barrier that Jet Hot is known for.

Jet Hot will warrant their coatings for lifetime....they coat the Hookers inside and out...they will coat any header sent to them inside and out.

They warrant against rust through. You can get the Sterling silver finish, or colors even blue.

Just and FYI or go visit their website or call and they will send you information as they did for me.
