<strong>I was contemplating purchasing a set of pulleys for my car (crankshaft and alternator). They list for $164 for a harmonically balanced pair. What kind of performance gain am i looking at? If the pulley is not balanced correctly for the crank you will start getting misfires since pulley is taking crank out of balance and tripping the crank position sensor
I have seen this problem on many LS1 engines.
Smaller pulley will reduce the D/C since the alt is turning less. Over time that could puy out less load then the engine requires.

I don't know if this has happened to anybody else, and I know it has never happened before to me, but my belt just about came off last weekend. I popped the hood to show off the engine, there was black rubber dust everywhere, and the belt had about two ribs on the PS pulley. I slipped it back on, just worried if it will happen again.....??
<strong>You will have charging problems.... I don't care what especially with a stereo, or cooling fans running. I didn't 'notice' a gain but others have dyno numbers, so it has to help.
