Default Installed my Loudmouth system today....

DAMN! It's loud as all hell!!

There's something about a H/C car with tuned longtube headers and SLP Loudmouth mated to a quad CME that really wakes the dead (and the neighborhood). Hmmmm... do I see a bullet muffler in my future? We'll see.

I haven't driven it yet. Just fired it up to check for leaks. That 114 lsa cam lope is really pronounced now. I'm definately happy. I also ended up with quite a weight savings over that heavy SLP D/D setup I replaced. That thing feels like it's made out of lead.

Special thanks go out to Andy (Xsta Z28) for his help today.

You went the opposite route that I took. I started off w/ the Loudmouth (w/ FLP's). I ran it for 3 months, then I replaced the resonator with a Dynomax Bullet muffler...that was only minimal help. Finally after a year and a half, I had had enuff so I swapped it out for the Dual/Dual.

You are correct in the weight statement. The dual/Dual is a heavy bitch compared to the Lightweight Loudmouth...but man, it is so nice to drive around on the street w/ out having every cop in the state harassing me. Of course at the track, I just pop the cutout and let it rip.

Good luck with the Loudmouth...it's a nice system, but it gets old after a while.

Would you be interested in selling the muffler or whole cat-back you pulled off? I'm going to be putting in headers and a cutout soon and want something NICE AND QUIET for prowling... I'd be very interested in the dual/dual.

Is it really all that bad? I have the LM and it's pretty loud now but I don't have Headers and I do have S2 H/C. Looks like I might have to pick up a new cat back when I get the headers this summer.

The intermediate pipe it toast. If I can get the over-axle pipe off the muffler I'd be able to sell the muffler with tailpipes and some D/D tips only. You'd need a new intermediate and over-axle pipe. I guess any good muffler shop could make them out of some 3" aluminized pipes though. Make me an offer and pay for the shipping... it's yours. Actually I was really just going to throw it away and avoid all hassles.

Firing that beast up at MIDNIGHT really must have made some friends with the neighbors!

I also painted the intermediate and over-axle pipe up to the y-pipe section of it with satin black high temp paint. The rest is all polished. It looks as good as it sounds! Pics to come once I find a new image hosting site. How's Villagephoto.com?

I'll give ya $50+ shipping for the muffler and tail pipes.... That's all i really wanted anyway, I'll just reuse my stock I-pipe... it's already 3 inches. Lemme know, I can PayPal you once you find out how much shipping is. Zip code is 74017.

i see the whole dual/dual catback go for $150 all the time with less than 1,000 miles on it... you told me to make an offer, I did... you were going to throw it out anyway. I would appreciate if you stuck to your word. If my offer is low in your eyes, we'll work on that, but it's not cool to sell it out from under me.....

The other guy e-mailed me first. I'm not selling it out from under you. We never had an agreement. I said make an offer, that doesn't mean I have to accept the first offer I get. I'm not obligated to anyone. I can sell it to whomever I wish for whatever amount I feel it's worth (plus my time to pack and ship it) and yes, I can even throw it out if I want. What's not cool is your attitude.

Like I said, I'd consider your offer but because I'm a nice guy, I'll wait to see if the FIRST guy to contact me still wants it. That's fair, isn't it?

I expressed my interest in said product before you ever made your first reply to this post.... if he e-mailed you before I ever asked if you would consider selling it, then yes it is fair to deal with him first. The way you made it sound is that it didn't matter to you if you sold it or not, you were going to throw it out... and you told me to make an offer, meaning you were wanting to work with me on MAYBE coming to an agreement. In my mind, that is saying you're going to deal with me... not saying "If your offer is better than this guys offer", wich is what you're doing now. I appologize if I have come off as having an attitude, I'm simpl trying to get you to go along with what you told me. You didn't say "I'll sell to the highest bidder", You said "Make me an offer" to ME specifically. If that guy e-mailed you AFTER I originally posted about being interested, then he is also in the wrong because I expressed my interest in a public forum letting everyone know I was first in line. Once again, if he e-mailed you prior to my first post, I take back my prior statement.
