Ceramic coated headers, jethot coated y-pipe, and hooker catback. i have NO pboblems with any of it. I like the headers. Just make sure you can get the y-pipe right away. My car was down for a month or two because it wasnt' available yet. I read a post by "Freak" and followed his advice on the install, and it was a breeze then. Good luck with your decision.

I got the Hooker LT's from JetHot and I happy with what I got. I've not saved up enough to get the Y and cat's yet from Mufflex. My wife would NEVER go for $1300 for FLP's all at once but Jet Hot coated Hookers for $580 over 3 months didn't seem so bad to her. Then $280 for a Y pipe and $250 or so for cats. Quality of the headers look fine, primarys look good, one tube may need slight filing. Can't wait to install them.

It isn't "Mumbo Jumbo" as you call it with the problem I am having since the header install. It is a real problem which many good people have been providing input for finding a solution. The problem is not with the headers, they are fine.

My comment on the Hooker headers is that the install is straight forward, and you should have no difficulty at all. It does help to have a friend lending a hand. Take your time would be my best advice to you. Good luck, and enjoy.

I have hooker headers, coated locally with true dual setup into dynomax bullets...no problems. Just make sure you follow the directions, and be sure to remove the sparkplugs before the headers are put in place. It took 5 hours to install with a friend and a lift. We took alot of breaks,too.
I think the Hooker Headers are the best you can get, especially if you want to ditch the Y-pipe and run duals.
$425 headers
$150 coating
$ 90 dynomax bullets
$ 75 muffler shop labor
Total $740 bucks for a killer exhaust system, that scares ricers away

Do you have a sound/movie file of your exhaust setup? I have the hooker cat-back and I am going to add the headers with a custom Y-pipe (for cats), I'd really like to hear how the cat-back's sound will change though. Thanks.

I just ordered the Hooker LT's w/their y-pipe (which may end up going back). The Mufflex ORP looks good but $285 is up there. The Hooker was $160 (reasonable). What are the difficulties w/installation? Fitment from what I understand is very good. Do they go in from the bottom or top? I know the y-pipe is kinked on the driver side top for fitment. I have MSD ign wires too. I dont imagine they'll be coming in contact w/the primaries. Hopefully this set w/wake up the car along with the Mufflex catback. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />
