How may i ask, do you GUT THE CATS? How is it done, what does that mean, and what does it do for your motor/performance? Does it affect the sensors or smog?

Guess I should take the cats off to see what you're talking about...

If I were you I'd save the cats for future use, particularly since you live in lala land. Buy some off the road pipes, LS1 speed has them for about $140. The diameter is larger and in my opinion the flow is better.

or you can go my route and buy a set of stock cats and use them to gutt and keep the ones on your car. oh yeah, get those o2s to help with the ses light.

Usually when you gut the cats, that means that they remove all the components inside the catalytic converter. Or they put a piece of pipe straight through the cat. If you do this you will need to get some o2 simms. If not you will trigger your SES light. Your car will probably sound a bit louder and pickup a couple extra hp.
