What kind of MPG does everyone get?
I think that GM's main concern is they dont want the camaro going faster than thet corvette, (stock anyways).
They leave that for the power hungry owners to install aftermarkets, you know what i mean...but with upgrades, comes lower gas mileage, (for the most part anyways). Cheer up...I spend about $300 on gas a month...pinches a lil, but you'll get used to it....

3200 miles a month dude you might want to get something that gets a little beter gas milage.
38,000 miles a year on an 01 thats 76,000 miles time to trade that beater in.

Around town... usually about 14-16 mpg, but i can squeeze out close to 20 with a light enough foot. Highway I average 28-29 most of the time. I check every time I fill up, get an average of 20-21 mpg out of the tank. I love this car, one reason being it's a low 13 second car BONE STOCK and can cruise home from the track at almost 30 mpg...

I don't know what I was getting totally stock, but after the 'free mods', Borla, and lid and 500 mile highway trips, I was getting between 29 - 32 MPG depending on the highway. Hurray 6M and cruise!
After adding a pully and SPEC Stage III, it dropped to about 26. Now, since LT's it looks to be about 25. I was under the assumption that letting it breath better, the mileage should not drop. I did not expect more... that 30 MPG was crazy, but down to 25? Is that normal?
I am not complaining. I just thought better breathing all around would help.
If 20 is normal....then so be it!!! Worth every penny!

Sorry Officer but I am a little upset when on a window sticker it posts 18 and 26 and does nowhere near that....Also funny thing is I am part of a Z06 forum and they had similar post to this one and all of them were producing 20-30mpg so why should I not expect the same???One of GM's main concerns is not allowing their cars to be a gas guzzlers, and though its a few MPG away from a gas guzzler it is still very low....Also my main flame was that it is posted on my sticker that I would expect 18 and 26mpg, if it was posted 14 and 18 I would be ok with it. Anyway I also drive an SUV, so automobiles that drink gas is not a problem with me, but being lied to in a sense pisses me off

If you gas mileage is that bad, sounds like a few things need to be checked. What mod's are on the car?
What oil are running? A good 5w-30 or 10w-30 like Moble 1, helps a little.
Are the tires inflated properly?
Might be worth running A-Tap and seeing what you can find out.
Driving style has a MAJOR influnence on mpg. The window sticker has small print that usually says something like "your mileage may vary" and list 12mpg to 40mpg as being the range with the EPA estimates as 18mpg and 26mpg. If your driving and M6 or an shifting over 2000 your probably losing mpg. If your winding an A4 over 2000 your probably losing mpg there. Smooth gradual acceleration helps with mpg.
Letting a car just sit and idle to "warm up" for a few minutes hurts mpg too.
Might be worth checking the plugs and wires. My car gained a little mpg with TR55's gapped at 55 over the factory plugs no two of which had the same gap...
If you keep looking you'll figure out why the mpg is down.
Good Luck
~15 mpg city
29 mpg highway
33 mpg highway and drafting an 18-wheeler about two car lengths back
The highway is a bit better I believe, but couldn't really tell you since I don't drive on it that much.

Im mostly driving to work which is 70 miles round trip...if you do the calculations, that should only leave about 28000 miles (for the 20 months that i've owned it) on my car. (mind you, thats just for work miles). And i've taken it to San francisco, Vegas, laughlin a few times, and the beach like all the time....I currently have approx 52000 miles on my LS1...So, dont ask where the other 24000 miles came from, cause i really dont know....Lets just say, I JUST CANT GET ENOUGH OF MY LS1!!!!

With mostly highway driving, and some street driving, being light on accelerator that is, im gettting 20.6 mpg...Thats 260 miles with 1/4 tank left.
