What kind of MPG does everyone get? I did a search for "mpg," but the results were not applicable. I just bought a 2000 SS, and was wondering what type of miles pre gallon to expect. Driving somewhat conservatively, I've squeezed out 260 miles, with about a 1/16 of a tank left. Also, what is the size of our tanks?

Re: What kind of MPG does everyone get? If I beat on the car I’ll get about 130 to 7/8ths of a tank. If I’m nice to it I can muster about 160/170 to 7/8ths tank. No, the car is not stock.

Re: What kind of MPG does everyone get? Around town I'll get about 170 miles with 1/8 tank left. Looks like about 12 mpg. That's with h/c and 4.10s. I don't beat on the car but take it up to 4500 sometimes. On the highway I still get 25mpg. That's down 1-2 mpg since the car was stock.

Re: What kind of MPG does everyone get? I get on avg about 25-26 miles to the gallon I drive fairly conservative. Only mods to date are SLP LT's, Y-Pipe, RT Cats, SLP Lid, Bellow, Holley power shoot air Filter. In the mail Yank ST 3500, nitto's, B&M Tranny cooler, Exhaust Cut-out, and MPPII. After these mods I'm sure the MPG will drop real fast. I think our tanks are 15.5 gallons.

I get around 200 miles with a quarter of a tank left with my bone-stock, A4, Z28, and I divide that by the amount of fuel that I needed to get my tank completely filled up which is usually between 10-11 gallons. So, I'd say between 18-20 MPG with mostly city driving and some highway driving.

Re: What kind of MPG does everyone get? Probably what I am most upset with....My A4 was listed at 18 and 26, but I don't see anywhere near that. I drive more highway than city and I average about 14MPG <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" /> , this is definetly not acceptable and I am really upset that GM actually posted 18 and 26 on my window sticker when I can't even get anywhere near the city rating and I drive more highway...... <img border="0" alt="[fight]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_punch.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[guns]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_guns.gif" />
Re: What kind of MPG does everyone get? i get about 18-19mpg. just a lid and borla a4 98 with 3.23's. also if im not mistaken the 98 fuel tanks are 15.5 and the 99 and up are 16.5 or 8 or 9 whatever.

In my 2001 LS1 (stock, whisper lid, flowmaster), i can get 260 w/ 1/4 tank left..thats when im nice to it, and mostly highway driving w/ lil street driving. put it this way, if I can get between 150/160 miles to half a tank, them im doing good...thats of course, you're running 92 octane...if you put **** gas in, then expect shitty results... <img border="0" alt="[Burnout]" title="" src="graemlins/burnout.gif" />

Sorry Officer but I am a little upset when on a window sticker it posts 18 and 26 and does nowhere near that....Also funny thing is I am part of a Z06 forum and they had similar post to this one and all of them were producing 20-30mpg so why should I not expect the same???One of GM's main concerns is not allowing their cars to be a gas guzzlers, and though its a few MPG away from a gas guzzler it is still very low....Also my main flame was that it is posted on my sticker that I would expect 18 and 26mpg, if it was posted 14 and 18 I would be ok with it. Anyway I also drive an SUV, so automobiles that drink gas is not a problem with me, but being lied to in a sense pisses me off

They leave that for the power hungry owners to install aftermarkets, you know what i mean...but with upgrades, comes lower gas mileage, (for the most part anyways). Cheer up...I spend about $300 on gas a month...pinches a lil, but you'll get used to it.... <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

Re: What kind of MPG does everyone get? On roadtrip's I manage high-26, low-27 MPG driving ~77MPH in 6th gear. City I usually get 11-13. I actually take the autotap along and monitor the percentage of fuel remaining so I know how far I can push it <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

27-28 mpg on the highway
for some reason, my car is really good on the highway, especially considering I have an A4 3.23. Must be the intake mods I've done.
