Default True Dual Setup To Loud?

Well I am about to get a custom true dual setup out the back with QTP headers, all stainless steel done at a local shop around here, AZ Power and Sound. When all is said and done it is going to cost me about $1,500. I wanted to go with the Borla XR-1 mufflers but they would add about $300 to the price, so I think I am going to end up with their bullet mufflers, similar to the SLP Loud Mouth mufflers, no packing basically just an expansion chamber. I am going to be running without cats and I am a little worried about how loud it will be. Does anyone else have any experience with these mufflers? Or a similar setup?

It will be loud. too loud? never IMO. I have single chamered mufflers and i have had friends say they can hear me from places over a mile away. The bullets should be about the same. but i love it. go to ls1sounds.com and listen to some setups.

I have dynomax bullets on 2.5" true duals. With an F13 cam, my neighbors don't exactly love me in the mornings, but its not THAT loud. The offroad Y & loudmouth combo is still louder.

borla xr1 mufflers are huge. I have one on my borla mouth set up and it almost hits the drive shaft. I think its about 5" diameter. Good luck clearing the smallest of speedbumps. It might be possible to mount one on the passenger side, but the driverside might be a nightmare.

Here you go man. This is a link to my True dual setup with bullets. Only difference is I have high flow cats. Enjoy.

Out the back is pretty quiet, compared to dumped. I had to have pipes ru (temporarily) out the back, from my dumps, to pass imspection. REALLY quieted it down at idle and part throttle, and WOT wasn't quite as loud, either. It'll still likely be louder than a catback, but not a whole lot.

mine is loud. its dumped duals w/ sweet thunders. its not too loud. everybody knows when im coming, but if i take it easy, i don't wake the dead. all the way out the back is alot quiter, no matter what mufflers. and if you are runnin it all the way, you can put the mufflers behind the axle instead of under the floorboard for more clearance

I've got LT's ORY with LM, no cats and a big cam now. Is it loud? YES. Do I like it? YES. I get people looking at me with all sorts of distorted faces like "WTF?!". I'll be back up at AZ P&S next week if you want to hear it...

I guess I am more worried about the tone that the exhaust will have more so than how loud it is going to be. I love to sound of my GMMG and I am just worried that the bullet mufflers are going to make it to high of a tone.

The XR-1's sound real nice on the true dual setup, not to loud or quite IMO. The Magnaflo's sound damn nice to and just a bit louder.

hopefully ill be running magnaflows, i heard some soundclips on ls1sounds and magnaflows sound the best to me on a true dual setup. the xr-1s are really deep sounding but are a lot more expensive and harder to fit than the magnaflows.
