New exhaust, need opinions and pics of x-pipe on M6 Fbody....
If you have any pics of your x-pipe installed on your Camaro or Trans Am please post em.
I currently have a M6 SS with SLP Headers and off road pipes with the SLP Loudmouth. In my opinion the the loudmouth is a great cat back system, but as soon as you add headers you lose that nice quality sound. Idle is ok and slow cruising it sounds good, but any RPM 3k+ and the car sounds like a raped ape.
I'm working on changing over to 1 of these 2 exhaust systems right now. I will retain my SLP headers and off road pipes, try to flow them into a x-pipe, probably Dr.Gas, then after the x-pipe run true dual out the side (in front of the back tires) using oval 3" with 2 spintech oval sportsman mufflers. My other design is to run 3" or 2.5" after the x-pipe into a 2 in 2 out muffler and turn down before the axle.
I don't really care about how loud my exhaust is, I'm just trying to improve the quality and retain the flow. I don't think the SLP Loudmouth was made to work headers. I think at WOT the exhaust flow is too great for the resinator. Switching out to a Dynomax bullet has cross my mind but for now I am going to give this x-pipe and duals and shot.
Any opinions? or if you have undercar pics of your x-pipe, I would love to see em.
Also OnyxSS do you have any other pics of your side exit exhaust? under car pics?
Thanks!
Lee

I'm gonna try to get pics up soon of my x-pipe system.
Here's what it consists of...MAC headers, Dr Gas x-pipe system, Dynomax bullets, turndowns before the axle. Very deep and very smooth sound. No rasp at all. At idle it purrs like a kitten, and at WOT it screams <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
