Header and new air box questions

Header and new air box questions OK, this is ALL great info since I am now ready to purchase some headers for my 00 LS1. However, being a little CA crybaby I always like to stay legal as well, so I guess stepped is out is this correct? If so I was thinking MAC or FLP, any ideas? Then standard or merge collectors for such a setup that includes those damn crap-*** cats!? Please advise. Also looking at air box change I did the bottom cutout of stock shroud and EGR trim but was ready to invest into the real deal. I have that down to MTI or Volant (are they worth it? who are these guys?) is there any STOCK engine dynos for these products? They seem to make outlandish claims, if I'm laying down $300 I wanna get the best. Thanks all.

Re: Header and new air box questions mySStery_Machine, where do you live in Ventura(East or West sides) I've been looking for other SS's in the Area (I live in Oxnard by Levitz off the 101 freeway). Anyways on Monday I have my SLP LT Headers put on and I just ordered the Stealth Box Airlid (should be here Tues.). I'm going down to MMS on Sat. the 23rd for a dyno to see what the car is putting down after the add-ons ( I am at 300Rwhp and 324Rwtq)If you want to see the set-up just shoot me an email at Cartonic@yahoo.com
