new exhaust installed: Pacesetter LTs, ORY, Sweet Thunder "Rumbler" *CLIPS*
rev clip #1 (download)
rev clip #2 (download)
55-120MPH tunnel run (download)
- Pacesetter Ceramic Coated LongTube Headers
- Texas Speed OR-Y
- Texas Speed Rumbler Catback w/ Sweet Thunder muffler in place of Dynomax Bullet
The setup is just a tad loud for me, clips hardly do it justice. I might be switching over to the Hooker catback sitting in my garage. I do like it though; very free-flowing thanks to the design of the TSP Rumbler catback.
The Sweet-Thunder chambered muffler can be found at sweet-thunder.com before anyone asks.

So you just bought the whatever length of the chambered section and clamp all other pieces to make the exhaust, right?
I dont see SweetThunder selling a kit for our cars like GMMG does.

then replaced the dynomax bullet that comes with it with a 18" sweet-thunder chambered muffler.
it's a cheaper, louder, & better flowing version of the GMMG I suppose, lol. LOUD though, and can be raspy when you nail it - as expected with such little restriction.

Thanks for the quick response to the PM, but I guess I should've double checked this response.
I have heard that the GMMG setup is not raspy at all w/o cats, but you did mention that you hear some raspy noise while under heavy acceleration, how much though? Is it annoying? Is it bearable with the windows closed?

but i've heard of GMMG rasp with no cats on the LS1..
if we're talking about the "machine gun" rasp, yes it does it worse than the actual GMMG does since there is only 1 muffler instead of 2. it's bearable to me so far, despite a few headaches, but of course that's all subjective.

sounds nice man, good to see you do something besides troll the appearance forum :-p J/K
Seriously though, I think you may like the Hooker better, it is not quite as raspy but is a little bit quieter, personally I kinda like that raspy sound when you hammer it, just sounds kinda dirty and mean
