Torque header bolts down to what??
I'm thinkin I might install my FLP headers myself since every place I've been to around here wants $350-$600 for the install which I don't have right now. What do I torque the header bolts down to? Also, do I start from the inside and work out or the other way around? Does anyone have any tips they know now from doing this install that could help me out since the only things I've ever done to a car are a lid and cat-back? thanks
Chris

Re: Torque header bolts down to what??
First pass torque them to 11ft-lb. Second pass 18ft.-lb. I think the sequence was like 6-3-1-2-4-5??
Maybe someone else can chime in. I didn’t use a TQ wrench though, I just estimated the TQ. Too hard to fit a torque wrench in there...

What would estimating be? Tighten it up as much as you can or what?
Also, do I need to move the tranny over to get the headers in like with the SLPs?

You'll have to get the car at least 2 feet in the air for the install. You'll also have to cut the catback a little.Should not have to move the tranny, just take off the oil filter to get more room for install.I torque'd the bolts to 18 lbs.
