Are you sure you just didn't pull out the entire heater core/fan assembly?

Bos, you are truely hard core. What do you have 11k on that sweet hawk? I'm assuming you could put it back and recharge it pretty easily, if you wanted to. But for 30# I'll keep my A/C.

Yea, it can be put in easily, I might consider it down the line, but I don't feel like throwing down a lot of money to replace all the bad parts right now...

Bad parts Shouldn't that be under warranty? Just caus you have a cam and a different trans that shouldn't have anything to do with the A/C. I had my A/C on the whole way comming from the track Sunday.

When I did the cam swap I didn't recharge the A/C right away, I let it go for a week or two...you are supposed to recharge it right away otherwise the seals go bad, etc...everyone else who has done a cam swap has never had a problem w/this, but me and a few other people have had problems...

What I would of gave for A/C on that day....

100 degrees racing...

I`m still trying to find out if I can replace that housing with a non A/C housing and still retain heater function. I was told that older 1LE cars were available WITHOUT A/C, so I would think that if this were true, that blower motor housing should work. Then you will not have to deal with those holes either! I WANT THAT A/C SH#T GONE!

There maybe some older 4th gen without AC.. But since 1998, all F-bodies have had AC standard... including 1LE's

That`s what I thought. I read an article a few years back (1994 to be exact!) on how the `94`s were available w/o A/C. But, I`ve yet to meet or talk to anyone with a 4th gen F-body that does not have A/C. I rescently talked with a guy that said he and a few others were, like me, looking to remove their A/C but wanted to keep the heat functions operable. He said that up to `98 A/C (in 1LE cars) was optional and that they were trying to find GM part #`s for non A/C blower motor housings and in dash heat controls but were having no luck. I have not been able to check with a dealer yet so I still don`t know if there is any truth to this yet.
