want to not dilute that with warm underhood
air. If pressurized (ram air), then you want
to minimize leaks. Foam seals the undesired
sides of the air box. If you are careful with
how you apply it, it can be pretty invisible.
I used some closed-cell, black rubber foam
weatherstrip, and stuck it onto the bottom of
the box/support piece as ewll as making some
"washers" around the mounting bold holes. The
foam can't be seen (only having 1/8" rise has
something to do with that, of course).
Unfortunately, over 1/8" of rise starts to
bump my SS hood <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />
