Just Installed Stealth Lid Just Finished installing new Stealth lid (10min.) and after a little spin, I was like <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> glad I purchased
this product , driving down the freeway you can just here this thing sucking big air and with headers Installed
yesterday and new Exhaust Oh Yeah <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_tounge.gif" /> now will go to the track on the 29th and see what my new times will
be ( old times stock where 13.4 @102.37 with 2000 mi. on it) God I love these car's <img border="0" alt="[hail]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_hail.gif" />

Re: Just Installed Stealth Lid STS99TA, sorry to here about your lid I decided to go with the stealth lid because of the increased surface area ( uses the ZR1 corvette Filter) and the kit includes the radiator shroud with FRA allready incorparated into it also it gets rid of the stock accordian hose from the maf to the TB and uses a smoothe hose about an inch an half wide. I am pleased with the deffinate differance from stock but I think most lids will let you feel this differance. I will se on Sun. what my new Dyno #'s will produce.

so u installed the ppo stealth air lid? that's the one with the bottom pretty much gutted already, right? costs about $297+? i was thinkin about gettin that one, but haven't heard of anyone trying it out yet. did u go from ur stock lid to this one, or did u have another aftermarket one on there before?

98 Z28 convertible, all GM options(no mods yet)

Martin, I went from my stock lid to this one, and yes it's the one that's completly "gutted" out, I haven't heard of anyone using it either so I thought I'd give it a try.

Re: Just Installed Stealth Lid Martin, it was a perfect fit no binding, no obstruction. It uses the stock rubber cushions that are on the under side of the Rad. shroud and it moves your Maf back towards the motor so you have about an 1 1/2" gap between the Maf and the TB, the opening to the lid is about 2 1/4" and theres is no blocking of the filter whatsoever, Lid size is about 1 1/2 X the size of the stock lid. I will be taking pictures and post them for all to see.
