Default Wrong Lid sent

Hey all, I just received my Slp lid and they sent me the 98-99 one without the air fitting on the side. (by the way mines a 2000) Anyway, being the anxious to add hp that I am, I already installed it and said &*%. My question is ; Is the piece I'm missing a permanent part of the box, or does it just pop in the hole? And is it ok to run the car without the hose connected? Any responses welcome. thnx

You need to take the hose that would plug into the side of the airbox on the SLP and plug it with a small filter that plugs into the line. This is what the Whipser lid users all do. I'm not familiar with the setup on the 2000 up cars but I believe I'm describing this correctly <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Yeah, I have a 02' Z28. I also have the wisper lid. All you have to do is go to a local auto parts store and get a small crank case filter that will fit the hose. I called Thunderracing about it and they suggested that. I got mine from autozone for like 2 bucks.

Thanks fellas, that's what I needed to know. Does that hose pump warm air into the intake? Thanks again for the response, I appreciate it.
