Loudmouth on Stock LS1 Hi Everybody,
I am curious of the soundlevel of a LM on a stock motor 2002 Z28 (bolt-ons OK). I understand the LM is somewhat tolerable with a stock setup. Is that true? YES I know they are out-of-hand loud with headers/cams/yada/yada but Im interested in STOCK applications of LM. Its something I have not been able to find on this board....
So if you have a STOCK setup with Loudmouths, I would appreciate hearing your opinions. Please stock motor/manifold/cats only (your regular bolt-ons are OK)
Im looking for something mellow at idle but loud (I dont care how loud) at WOT...im going for "stealth" mode..i might even weld on my stock exhaust tips...MUHAHHAHA
My other option would be Borla.
To be honest, I would really like to hear one in person. Are there any F-body events goin on in the Virginia area soon I could go to to hear peoples exhaust?

Re: Loudmouth on Stock LS1 i have one on my 2002 z28 with which is pretty much stock except for lid and maf ...and its pretty loud...a lot louder than any other z or SS ive come across so far...the drone at certain RPMs can probly annoy some people..i know it does to one of my friends...but i love it...scares the hell out of all the ricers i run across <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Re: Loudmouth on Stock LS1 I have the LM on my 98 z28 which is virtually stock and I love the way it sounds. Another good thing about it is, it is very easy to install if you want to do it yourself. But the sound is great. My Hooker L/Ts will be here in a few days, and I will post how it sounds with those on there. LM all the way.

Re: Loudmouth on Stock LS1 I have a LM on my 2001 Z28. I think it sounds awesome as hell. Mine does make a humm that reasonates a bit at about 2200-2700. I think it sounds cool! My idle does grumble, but when Im idling in my driveway, my mom knows im home or leaving.. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Re: Loudmouth on Stock LS1 i just got my LM a week ago. my car is stock besides that i had replaced the stock filter to a k&n filter.it sounds really mean. a lot of people turn their heads. its not really loud at idle,but once you start going thats when you really hear it.i like it better then my bros flowmasters.

When you put your foot to the floor is when it really sounds nice.
IMO as long as you are running cats this exhaust is definetly tolerable for a daily driver.
