water pump diagnosis please!

water pump diagnosis please! heres the situation, new are motor went in tonight.. engine runs beautifully.. the problem symptoms
coolant light is on/off but mostly on.
coolant temperature is erratic and all over the map.
coolant coming from the overflow during first minutes of a hot restart
coolant coming from the weep hole during the first few minutes after a shutdown.
no water in the oil.. no rise in oil level or change in color.
i have tried one bottle of stop leak and all that did was turn the water from orange to tan <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />
help help!
do i need a water pump? who has the best price?

Re: water pump diagnosis please! did you bleed the air out of the system? Make sure you have no air left in the system. You may have a bad water pump if you have fluid coming out the weep hole.

i think that being put on 4 different motors just took its toll.. it lasted 57k miles anyways..
