FLP Header Install
Hey guys. Does anybody have pictures of any installs for headers? I want to do it myself and see how much work is involved, how long does it normally take? I wouldnt have air tools, just so ya know.

Re: FLP Header Install
1-3 hours to get old stuff off.
2 hours to install new stuff.
1 hour to drink beer.
About 5-7 hours.
Its pretty easy install, just takes a while to get some of the old parts off. Take your time and its a piece of cake. Just dont crossthread your header bolts like I accidently did.. broken bolts and cross threaded holes.

Re: FLP Header Install
I just completed my install and it went quite well. I did have a good bit of pre-install help from some local guys that have been through it. It really isn't bad at all. First of to answer some of the questions I had...Use the original stock metal gaskets. Use some metal shears to clip the end bolt holes on the gaskets to allow them to drop in place. You will need one O2 extension (24 inch) and the Y-pipe will probably need some modification to match you I-pipe. I had a local shop install a 3 inch flange to make the connection more solid. This also a good time to change the sparkplugs. You will need to remove the passengers side coil pack assy and discard the rear PITA bolt in back. E-mail me directly if you have any problems at all. FWIW-I was dialing in my bracket races @ 12.59-12.61 during the summer heat before the FLPs and tonight after the FLP install my dial in was 12.24 and I ran 4-12.25 Back to back. that is a consistant 3.5 tenths gain. I am very pleased. Good luck.
