Default How to quiet down a car with out loosing flow?

I really want headers and no cats but with my set up it will be way to fugin loud. Is there a way to quiet it down to stock levels with out loosing the flow? BTW I have Stage 2 heads and the TR224 cam and Corsa.

Well, logically if you think about it, there is no way <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" /> BUUUUUUT i can BS you a little. Get a cutout for the track, or drive with it a little. Then cap it, giving you the illusion that your car is running a lot quieter! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> SOLUTION SOLVED! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Replacing the cats with bullets will still be loud but not as loud as having a simple off road y-pipe

By your first post in leads me to believe you dont have headers yet but you do have stage 2 heads and TR's 224 cam. Well Im kind of the opposite of you. I have long tube headers, with cats, and going to get my new heads and TR 224 cam installed pretty soon.

Why do you not want to have cats? Most people I know who dont have cats on their car dont have them in order to make their cars louder. Dont quote me on this but Ive read several post stating that having RT cats wont rob you of much power.

well I don't have to have cats because in Michigan they don't do any emission testing. I guess I could get high flow cats which would make the car sound better than no cats.
