SLP header install, please help.
Now the starter wires and o2 sensor wires look way too close to the headers. The header is not bolted in solid yet, but doesn't look like I'm going to gain much clearance there.
I have the wires zip tied as far away as I can, but it still looks too close for comfort for me. What are you guys doing to the wires to keep them from burning up?
I'm used to installing the FLP's & Grotts, which had none of these problems. This is a new one for me. Please give some advice, if you have had the same problem. Thanks.
the wires are close no matter what.. i ran them through the motor mount on my friends car.
bit off the header, haven't done this tho.
The wiring is very close and not really a good way to run it. We used 'welders cloth' or thats what i call it to stick between the two. After a bunch of runs at the track no problems so far.
The only problem I have is condensation from the A/C dripping on the passenger header. I got up under the car and adjusted a plate above the header but that doesn't stop all of the condensation from dripping on the header.
I'll be completing the project tomorrw, so hope it all works out.
I would not reccomend this header to anyone. The easiest ones so far have been the FLP's, & the Grotts.
