Gas tank vapor locked?????

Gas tank vapor locked????? I was on my way to Boston and when I stoped for gas I could only get about a quart and that just filled the neck! Well I turned around and when I got home I thought that someone might of shoved something in the filler tube so I got a long flexible piece of metal " The little jaws for picking up the bolts when you drop then in the motor" and put that into the filler neck and when I hit the valve at the gas tank I pushed on it and out shot a sh%@ load of gas! Well I needed to
install a Intank pump anyways and took out the gas tank and prepped it for the 340 pump. That itself was a job and needed to be modded alot to fit as well. My question is what would cause the pressure to build up that much??? Thanks for the help.. <img border="0" alt="[hail]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_hail.gif" />

Well I forgot to plug in the valve that is right above the # 1 cyclinder and I think that this controls the vapor build up and sucks it out to be burned through the intake that runs under the front right side facing the motor. Just changed out the intake to the LS6 but man what a head banger.. <img border="0" alt="[judgement]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_judge.gif" />
