Default threw a code after header install?

I know I know, all of you are thinking its because of my o2 sensors in the back...but I honestly dont know!!

I bought rear o2 sims and plugged them in. I didn't throw a code at first, only on my ... 4th time I used the car, and about 50-60 miles later. The only other thing is that there is this repatative knocking that seems to be consistant with the rpms of the car. while cruising in 6th gear it's about one every second or so and not too loud, but very noticeable. Autozone is obviously closed to get a read out of the code, but is there a code where if the engine detects too many knocks in a certain ammount of time it would throw one? I have a feeling there's some loose pipe banging and causing it to do this.

Would a muffler shop be able to fix these "bumps" by welding all of my connections?

Without knowing what the code is, we'd all just be guessing what the problem is, the engine will retard the timing if it "hears" knocking, but I don't think it throws a code.
To fix the banging, you can either use the mufflex hanger, and old valve spring, poly engine mounts, or just keep tweaking the y pipe till it goes away (then go to the muffler shop and get it welded but don't weld the y to the headers, it's a PITA if you ever need to remove the y)

Dunno about the code. It could be a number of things.....

As for the banging, where does it sound like its coming from? Under you or infront of you?

It its from under you it's the Y pipe banging, if its in front of you it could be the header hitting the K member at the right RPM.

it feels like they're right under the pedals... which one would be more likely? I'm gonna reset the computer in the morning, try to fix the clearance where I should and see if it comes back.

front O2's tend to get "lazy" after header install on some cars, VCM sees this as not responding fast enough...all this is a shot in the dark obviously without knowing what code it is

P1153

I've done a lot of searching on this code. Would there be any downside to tuning it out? New o2 sesnors woudln't even necessarily fix this one would they?

You can have that tuned out, it's simply because the sensors aren't as hot as they once were, now that they're in headers, not the cast iron manifolds, they get a little lazy
You could try the bosch 13111s they have a better heater than the f body o2s, so they stay hotter (I've got the boschs on mine, and haven't had any SES lights) they work for some but not others
Can't really think of a downside to getting it tuned out

bank either runnin too rich wetting down the sensor, or too lean cooling it off too much, Bosch 13111's may fix the problem

heh two very different answers. Is the general consensus to get new o2 sensors or to just tune it out and forget about it?
