ARP Crank Bolt Specs.
I have an ARP balancer bolt. It's a little longer and much better quality than the stock bolt. It has been on my car for over a year and hasn't given me any problems. The install procedure is different than the one for the stock bolt. The ARP bolt is not a torque to yield bolt, therefore unlike the stock bolt, it can be reused. Once the balancer is seated using the old stock bolt (torqued to 240 lb-ft), then remove the stock bolt, apply ARP moly lube to the threads and washer surface of the ARP bolt, then install and torque to 196 lb-ft. This torque is also the same if using blue loc tite. If you use SAE 30W oil on the threads, then tighten to a torque of 247 lb-ft. These torque recommendations were told to me by ARP when I installed mine.
