Default LS6 intake gains

How much of an improvement (ET, MPH wise) will an LS6 intake buy a bolt on car? What about if I add a cam? I'm trying to decide if its worth the 400 bucks.

It will definitely be worth the money....once you get a cam. On a bolt-on car, it's not worth it.

my car gained on average 1 tenth and 1.5 mph with it. It mostly helps the car's top end power.

It will be worth it once you have a cam but if you dont have one the money is best spent elsewhere to go faster.Thats just me though.

The LS6 intake is a good mod for a bolt on cars, but the money could be better spent elsewhere. Typically, we see around 5-6rwhp on a bolt on car.

I gained 9.1rwhp and 5.9rwtq on my car with all the bolt ons listed in my sig. The dyno pulls were at Cartek racing on the same day. The install was done by them while the car was still strapped down to the dyno. It wasn't cheap, but it definately made some power. I was pleased with the mod!!! Good luck with your car!!!

Damn Ryan I figured you'd have already got one of these!! I still havent put my TR224 in yet but with just the LS6 Intake, JBA's, Pro Yank Tranny and SY3500 I ran 12.41 @ 109.5. Cant wait to see the improvement with the TR224 and ASP Pulley. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Yeah I’ve been slacking a little I guess <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> I did beat you on the cam install though...mine was in back in April <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Nice times BTW. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" /> I haven't run mine with the new setup yet. I need to get to the track on a nice day soon. Weather has been so hot and humid I'm afriad of the disappointing numbers... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />
