Help: Throttle cable too much slack after maf swap.
I put my ported 98 Throttle body on my new 00 SS now when i floor it there is a 1/2in gap in front of the bump stop. I can tell the metal on the 00 tb is longer to stretch the cable more. Can I shorten the cable or what>

You can if you swap the TB cam and linkage holder thing. I just want to know why my cable is so tight now when I put the 00 one back on,

Why couldn't GM leave the F'n TB cam the same for all LS1 F-bodies???

I'm not sure what your problem is. Maybe it's betting kinked under the hood somewhere. I've had my throttle stick before.

My 99 has an adjuster about 18" from the throttle body. See if you can get/take some slack in/out with that.

Follow the T.cable back until you get to a plastic clip. Remove the clip, have someone push the pedle to the floor, then adjust the T.cable by pushining in or pulling out until the TB blade is all the way open against the bump stop.
Had to do this when I realized that my TB blade was only opening 75% from the factory, and again when I did the bump stop mod. Seemed to work fine for me. Hope this helps.
