Question Any one else ever have this problem? (intake swap)

Today I was swapping out my original LS1 intake for an OEM LS6 intake. When I went to install the fuel-rail and injectors on the LS6 intake, the injectors weren't fulling seating in the intake. On a few of the injectors, you could still see the o-ring peaking out from the injector bore in the intake. Meaning the injectors weren't far enough down in the injector bore.

After screwing around for an hour trying to fully seat the injectors, I took the fuel-rails and injectors off the LS6 intake and put them back on the original LS1 intake, and the injectors went all the way down in the bore. I ended up measuring the 4 bosses on the LS6 intake that the fuel-rail bolts to, and they were about a .10" taller than the same bosses on the original LS1 intake. The taller fuel-rail bosses one the LS6 intake weren't allowing me to push the injectors all the way down in their bores.

The final fix was grinding down all four of the fuel-rail bosses on the LS6 intake by about a .10", so that I could fully seat the injectors. It was a pretty straightforward fix, but I've never heard anyone else ever have this problem during an intake swap.

I double-checked the part number (12561182) and it comes back as a valid part number for a 2001-2002 LS6 intake. Anyone else ever hear of this problem?!!?

Mine are in and working fine, but they do look like they are not in far enough. I diddnt notice it untill it was all together and running, so i couldn't try them out in the stock intake. They look a little higher, but my car runs perfect. I'll take a picture or something tomorrow.

Blur, if you end up taking a pic, I can tell you how they compare to what mine looked like.

The boss is part of the composite material the intake is made of, with a threaded brass insert for the bolt that attaches the fuel-rail to the intake. I took a die grinder and ground about .10" off of each fuel-rail boss, including the brass insert, and that allowed me to fully seat the injectors.

I got the intake for a decent price off of Ebay. My first thought was maybe it wasn't an LS6 intake. I checked the part number on the intake though and it's a legit LS6 intake. I just can't figure out why I've never heard of anyone else having this problem...except maybe you.
