ls1 temp?

ls1 temp? what temperature does a almost stock '98 ls1 run at? I've had my z28 for about a week now and haven't seen it get over 185, does it have a 160 thermostat or fan switch?

the 160 stat won't really lower the temperature that much but you should be able to tell when the fans kick on if he had the temp lowered for the fans to turn on at a certain temp

i have 160 stat, my guage ALWAYS reads 190-200 , always has even before the thermostat. the car plugged into a snap-on scan tool read(after sitting running for 30 minutes) 178 degrees. alot of people have said that the guages don't even work..

Mine would always read about 185 or so untill i put the cam (and underdrive pulley) in it. I think chuck re-programed the fans or something, because they are on ALOT more than before, and the temp NEVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR +1 gets above 175* now, and this is with the same stat.
