I did a search and found enough info. Mostly, you just need to know to move (you can leave them plugged in) the AC compressor, starter, and alternator.

Installing poly mounts was a major pain due to tight access - it took me about 6-7 hours each. However, I very glad I did it - the rubber one's were so bad that they would move close to an inch, hitting my headers on the K-member. I had vibration problems with a poly tranny mount and took it out but noticed no vibration increase with the motor mounts.

I also have heard that you only need to place one side. Can someone confirm this?

One is certainly better than none but if your car is more than a few years old, has any significant mileage, is taken WOT with any regularity, and/or has decent HP, BOTH mounts are almost certainly bad. Because they were so hard to replace I was considering only doing one until I saw how bad that one was - turns out the other was just as bad.

It's a little bit of lazy (and that it's a PITA to do these) and a little bit to do with the fact that the motor torques toward the driver's side so if you're only going to replace one, it should be that one.

It also seems to be a lot easier to do them with the headers off the car so if you are going to do a header swap anytime soon wait and do them both at the same time.

Absolutely. Exhaust/headers are the biggest source of interference, making a 2-4 hour job a 10-14 hour job. If you are installing headers, install $50 poly mounts at the same time.

Drivers side, that is what I thought, and they are not to bad to change, I guess with the stock k-member in the way could be an issue.

For me the drivers side was the harder of the two. Without headers I also didn't have to drop the starter. I don't have a/c so the comp wasn't in the way. I did move the alt. though.

Im in the middle of doing mine now it took me eight hours to get the drivers side out and all of the accessories out of the way, and the passenger side took me and hour and i didnt take the starter out. Now i have to grind the rivets on the clam shells and put the new mounts in and then start to put the car back together.

I've LOCATED my motor mounts, but have a question as far as replacing the clamshell.. I haven't seen a howto on replacing them so I'll ask. Do the rubber and poly mounts have the same shape? In other words, if I yank off my stock mount and start drilling the rivets out, will I put the poly mount on the clamshell the exact same direction/orientation as the rubber one I just took off?

If anyone has pics with their motor mount swap it'd be great..

if dont have the directions just keep the orientation of everything the same. which ever side (up or down) the tabs are on when you take the mount apart make sure thats the same way you put it together

Do you have the headers on it while doing this?

I did when I did mine. Driver's side was a little tight, but pass side had plenty of room. Also on my car for some reason, the driver's side studs holding the mount to the block were a major PITA to break loose. The pass side bolts were much easier to break loose.
