Default quieter muffler than magnaflow?

dad is wanting a muffler that isnt so raspy and quieter than the one he has now. his set up consist of kooks headers, 3 in. tubin, cutout, w/ a magnaflow muffler out back. the magnaflow is quite raspy and louder than he wants. is there a better muffler out there that is quieter and not as raspy?

Possibly a Borla XR-1 muffler. Maybe a Hooker muffler too. Hooker is pretty quiet.

SLP Dual Dual is great up to about 425 rwhp. After that, it starts becoming a restriction (as so many 3" catbacks will). At the 470 rwhp level, I lose about 12 rwhp going from the cutout to closed. When I was at 395 rwhp, I lost 0 rwhp. At 433 rwhp, I lost 2 rwhp. Nine Ball lost nearly 25 rwhp at the 525 rwhp level.

So in a nutshell, if you're at or under 425 rwhp, there's basically no restriction to the Dual Dual.
