Any ideas for me exhaust problem??
Any ideas for my exhaust problem?? I have a 97 lt1 z28. One of my cats right before the y-pipe is loose on the inside. I was quoted $600 for a new one to get rid of the rattle. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas that would work to get rid of it and still keep it legal. Does anyone know where i can get a used one for less than $600? Please let me know!

gut it and get the ses light tuned out. as long s they don't put the sniffer up to your tail pipe..they can't prove..and if you do fail emissions..it would be because of fault cats....not for not having cats.
ok thanks for the ideas. And now that i came back and looked at it i realized that i messed up the title. I have a broken finger right now and i know the e is no where near the y but i managed to mess it up. And if your wondering, im not Irish, just gimpy. Sorry about that. More ideas are always welcome!!
