Put a cutout on my car 02ss lid,maf,hpp3,160stat,freeramair,373,macheaders,off roady.I put it under the back seat. Sounds like **** didnt do anything at the track whats up?

Mine is located in the same spot and it sounds good. But I still have stock manifolds and y pipe.

Sorry to hear you are not happy, maybe try relocating it out back like I did. I have it just ahead of the muffler on a stock WS6 exhaust and I am so happy with it. It sounds incredible! Send me an email if you want and I will send you a pic and an explanation on how we did it. Good luck.

we put a cut out on my bud's 99 camaro ss in front of the muffler. it sounds great BUT we dynoed the car before and after and he lost hp. about 7 hp.to me loosing hp is not worth sound.

Mine is right under my pass back seat.It sounds good in the burn out box but like crap going down the track.

I had two 2 1/2" cutouts grafted into my custom Y-pipe before it starts to converge together. It is really to loud, with the gutted cats, to drive around with them open. Anyways i like the sound of the FlowMaster better. But at the track it sounds pretty nice and with the cam and header install in the future it should help it breath a little better. i have tried it with and without open and it gave me around a .05 to .08 better E.T. with it open. Probably be more advantagious with a car that makes more HP though. I just like sounding like the drag cars a bit <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

I would DEFINATELY say you're getting a ton of rasp do to the MAC's and ORP...
Without cats and no muffler i think these cars sound like crap...
If you throw some cats in or a bullet muffler (or 2 in the place of the cats) you would definately help your sound out. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />
