he's sayin that most of his missfires are on 1 & 4. to me fellas, that is a major vac leak (egr?)or ign. problem or falty valve adjustment. if it was cam, then all cyl would missfire. Correct? jmho <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

thats what I am thinking too.
if cam timing was off 180 the car shouldn't even run right?

im gonna investigate the coil packs. now that I think about it my friend had a mechanic mix up two of his plug wires on his mustang and it did the same thing. backfired right off the back and ran super rough. swapped the wires and it was good times.

cable- are you talking the whole harness being on the right side? I read harlans post about that in a different thread. where the wires with the white strip need to be on the passenger side. Is this what your referring too? or something else?

thanks everyone. I pray it's something I can fix without ripping the car apart again.

If the cam was 180 out, the car would not run.. period. I highly doubt that you will need to pull the engine apart.

You installed 42 lb injectors? If the PCM has not been programmed to run them, I promise you, it wont run for ****. Don't know how much power you should be making, but on a non boosted LS1, the stock injectors are good for better than 425 rwhp before they go close to 100% duty cycle. If your not making that kind of power, I would go back to the stock injectors.

You really need to check everything else on TOP of the engine. Again, I doubt its internal.

Cant say for sure with all your problems, but the crank position sensor re-learn procedure using a TECH 2 may be worthwhile.

Good Luck,
Ron

I have reprogrammed for the injectors.
The car is also blown and I hope to come darn close to 500rwhp thus the 42#'rs

I'm gonna block off the egr stuff correctly and go thru the coil packs today.

Hopefully it's one of those two things.
