Default EXPERTS - Flooded and strange spark?

I have an LS1 out of a 2000 TA car that I have fired up. It ran rough and would not idle and I changed to a in-line fuel pump which seams to be working fine. I have noticed that when the key is first turned on a spark is delivered to the plugs? The engine pops once in awhile and blows alot of black smoke out the pipe like it is flooded. I have waited a day and the same thing happens. I put a spark tester on the #8 cylinder and turn the engine over. It looks like it is getting too many fires. the snap, snap, snap is now a almost buzz. I checked my wiring for loose connections. Is it the computer? Experts please help!

Well since no one else will venture, try changing stuff from the #8 to a cylinder that you know is good, like the coil pack or spark plug wire (couldnt be the wire, but you get the idea). This would hopefully make the good cylinder run bad and thus reveal the problem. Again this is just a shot in the dark.
