new coil packs Does anyone know if coil packs from a new LS2 6.0L will fit on a 98 TA? Please let me know cause I need to replace mine and I can get some off my buddy that replaced his.

All the LS2's I've seen use a different style coil. I doubt they use the same coil rail. If you can get the whole coil rail setup, it should bolt on. Not sure about the harness differences.

For future reference, they use different triggering methods. The LS1 coils trigger by grounding the output signal. The LS2 coils trigger with a low voltage signal. You'd have to modify the ignition electronics to make one work on the other.

you're right, I should have made an inane post of no redeaming technical value in a current thread rather than post relevant information in a stank gravedigger thread that rotted out a whole freaking 6 weeks ago .... apparently I've mistakenly logged onto the wrong forum.
