Question about stock MAF screen what, if any are the draw backs of taking the screen out of the stock MAF?, is the process difficult to do? What gains if any will I see with this free mod?

Re: Question about stock MAF screen The screen promotes laminar flow over the sensors(steadies that air as it comes through) so that the sensors can accurately read all of the air...
The screen does mildly impeed flow, especially for NA cars, but is necessary for forced induction cars to smooth the air. This is true because the turbulence of the air is increased with FI.
So, go ahead and pull it if the car is going to be NA...the sensors will still read correctly and you will pick up some flow!
