Custom intake inlets:

Has anyone made their own? I mean taking of the stock airlid, and fabed up a tubular intake duct?

With my front bumper support, I can see in there good, and it looks like if the windshield box waqs taken out, there would be room to snake it up from one of the holes there up & over where the stock box was (similar in that area like the Vette intakes you see.) Seal up the piece from the bumper into something that had a cone filter on it. Could actually locate the MAF anywhere you wanted, right? I have seen extensions for the IAC, so I guess that could be moved to where it is cooler.

If anyone has done anything, let me know. pics please

It could definately be done easily. A plug and play unit could be fabbed with little effort. I had a maf relocated 2 feet on an old blower motor stang I had in the mid 90's.
