Default Question about Dynatech Long Tubes?

I'm about to order these headers.. what's the concensus(sp) on these.. good / bad / indifferent?

also, I have the option to do the slip on or the weld collectors.. the main reason of going with these is they offer the 3 1/5" collector (and price as well) but i'll be fabbing a 3 1/2" Y pipe to a 4" mufflex (thanks to Jantzer98ss) just wondering why such the price diff. and will this work for what i'm trying to accomplish./?

thanks for any input guys..

Devin.

I would NEVER run a 3.5in collector unless your building a 420+ CI motor.

U will lose HP/TQ if u run that setup...
I would run a the 1 3/4 on a 346CI with the 3in collector and make sure u get WELD ON collectors.

I would also not go bigger than 3in Y if I were u

3.5" Y-pipe??? That is HUGE. I hope you plan on making 800 rwhp <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

I'm doing the weld-on collectors. They are cheaper and won't leak.

well, i plan on making more than that..just not with my LS1 in it. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
I have a balanced and blueprinted BB 547 planned with an 8-71 and a big blue bottle (tubbing the car of course.. but the wife won't let me until it's at least paid off)
Who makes a 3" Y ??? or will i have to sell the pipe I bought to custom make one myself.??

and i asked this question b4.. is a 4" mufflex too much for 400-420rw car??

These headers wont' be used for the BB.. this is just a temp. solution for my current engine.
