Car shut off as I was driving. Fuel pump?
I had enough gas, so there shouldn't be any problem with the fuel sloshing.
I need to upgrade the fuel pump, sooner than expected, if it appears to be a problem with the fuel pump. I am spraying the car.

After the pump shuts off, you would have to use all the fuel in the lines before it would just shut off. During the time you are using what is left in the system, the pressure would be dropping causing a gradual decrease in performance, not just a sudden shut down.
Just my thoughts...
<strong>My '01 hd truck did this for 2 months, dealer wouldn't fix it (no code) I got code from it, but it cleared, anyway it was the crank position sensor..</strong></font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">I wonder if this is the issue with my Bonneville! I’m having an issue where the car just shuts down for no reason while driving. I am also not getting a code.
I plan to upgrade the fuel pump anyway, but I'm curious on the CPS, in case the problem persist. How hard is it to change?
The CPS is above the starter, I can swap the CPS in 10 minutes.
Make sure you did not burn the wires by the #4/#6 header primaries in that foil wrapped bundle is the CPS wires, (and 02 wires for B1S2)
