02 and 01 WS6 Exhausts

02 and 01 WS6 Exhausts I just want to know if the 02 Trans Am WS6 has a different exhaust than an 01 TA WS6... does anyone have an idea?
Also does anyone have a Corsa exhaust on a stock 02 WS6? I've read that Corsa exhausts give 14 RWHP on a stock 01 WS6... anyone dynoed that ? what are the real numbers for an 02 WS6 and an 01 WS6?
I got an 02 WS6.. please give me some feed back... ill be highly appreciated if you do... Thanks

Re: 02 and 01 WS6 Exhausts Not sure about the stock for stock difference. I did have my Corsa on the car stock and HP wise I would say that I picked up a few ponies. I didn't do a dyno of just that though. When I dynoed my car with the Grot LT's, Y-pipe with cats, Corsa, Whisperlid, Taylor Wires, and NGK TR55 plugs I picked up 45 HP at the rear, which put me at 342RWHP.
I've since added an ARE Stage 2 set of heads and a cam. So all of my audio clips are much louder. I'm now sitting at about 403RWHP, kinda nice.
Anyway, there are some clips off my homepage and some pictures. I need to really update that site though, maybe tongiht! I've got lots of stuff out there that I haven't put onto the pages yet.
Hope that helps. I really like the Corsa setup, looks really good and sounds great.

Also Do you think 14 RWHP for the corsa is accurate? what would you estimate? Ive always heard that z28s get easy 14 RWHP increase on exhausts because their exhausts are not good as stock WS6s... but does anyone know that for sure?

Re: 02 and 01 WS6 Exhausts Grot LT's are Grotyohann Long Tube Headers. Mine are 1 7/8" primaries. I think 15HP would be reasonable as an estimate. I know I didn't get the remaining 30 from the headers that's for sure! I personally don't buy the Z28 vs WS6 argument that much, it's all very subjective. As far as the exhausts go, they are probably identical from the y-pipe forward anyway. Which negates any difference in the cat back portion of the exhaust.
My car with just the Corsa and Long Tubes could crank out 12.90 @ 111. That's with a list of ailments (clutch included). I have not yet had it down the track completely with the heads and cam. I'm about ready to give it another run soon.
On average with just the Corsa and nothing else (maybe a lid) I wouldn't plan on going faster than a 13.25 or so. No matter what I tried I just couldn't get any faster than that. In fact most of my times were more 13.4 or so. Also, the track that I primarily run at is directly into a headwind all the time. So you may shake a tenth or so.

Re: 02 and 01 WS6 Exhausts thanks for all the info! as far as comparing 01 WS6 and 02 WS6 i just wanted to make sure there are no differences since corsa stated 14RWHP increase on a 01 WS6 (which i think is completely impossible) and i just wanted to make sure i get around that much HP gain on an 02 ws6 too since my corsa is on its way...
about the z28 i've heard that 14rwhp gains are pretty accurate .. while some people with ws6s argue that 14RWHP gain is too much... i dont really know if the stock exhausts are the case ...
but for me its kind of hard to believe that an exhaust itself could give a gain of 14rwhp...
