Default In Line or In Tank fuel pump questions.....

Is this setup Inline or In Tank? http://www.racetronix.com/rx-f1ls1-gss340m-fpk.html Which is better for cam, all the mods,no heads, 150 wet shot? I will be going stroker motor w/ 150 wet shot in the future so i want the best right now, so i dont have to buy another 1 in the future. Is Dual walbros In Tank better? WTB it? THNX!

that's an in tank. i think youre confused...your fuel system has 2 pumps, an in tank and an in line. There really isnt a which is better, they kind of serve 2 different purposes. But for a 150 shot you should be fine with the stock fuel system, but it would be pushing it. Upgrade your injectors maybe, and your intank and inline to be safe. But i dont have nitrous yet, im still learning about the juice as opposed to NA, so any spray guys that want to support what i said jump in!...

Your car has ONE fuel pump. You don't need to worry about injectors on a wet shot. If you are doing a big motor with nitrous you are going to need the dual intank setup. Try ARE if you can get ahold of them.

I am doing the dual intank set up from Racetronix ... I used to have (still on car)
stock intank and the Vortech T-Rex inline (sucks ) pumps , but they have less flow/pressure than the Walbro GSS-340m so I am yanking both the stock , inline , and getting the dual intank (GSS-340m) pumps connecting to stock fuel lines to 50# or 73# injectors (still don't know which to use) .
Later ...
stay safe

R U A LS1 - Let me see if I can help de-confuse you.

From the factory we have one intank pump. That's it.

If you see someone mention that they have an inline it is because they have added it.

Racetronix makes a single or dual(for big power) intank setup that replaces the single stock unit.

The Vortech T-rex inline is aftermarket. I think what bowtiepwr meant was that he was removing his stock intank and his inline T-rex and replacing them with a dual intank setup.

Hope that helps some.

John
