Loudmouth w/ no cats? I have gone completely crazy or I have just gone deaf...possibly both! Anyways, I am looking for a way to make the car louder ( I have a loudmouth now). I don't have the $$$ to do headers, and I have been thinking about getting an offroad pipe. Does anyone know if I will loose some bottom end if I take off the cats? Also, will I be getting tickets with it?

If i were u i would take out the resonater.. just run cats then straight pipe.. unless u don't need cats out there?? here there required for air care but i pulled mine... i have borla cat back with no plates.. sounds killer.. but might put the cats back in and take the muffler out.. then im legal and loud <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Re: Loudmouth w/ no cats? I had dynatech longtubes(same thing as FLP without the emissions), 3" custom off-road y-pipe and then the loudmouth. It sounded awesome at WOT, but everything in between sounded like a old farmer's grain truck.... I hated it, I would at least keep the cat's if you go with headers. If you take the cats off now, it will sound like crap IMO, of course if you are deaf like you say it won't matter! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Re: Loudmouth w/ no cats? I used to run a loudmouth with the stock cats gutted and i like the sound, now i run mac's with the cats gutted in its y pipe throught the loudmouth. and i like the way it sounds, its actually quiter with the macs at start up and cruse, but at WOT it screams.
Re: Loudmouth w/ no cats? I know a few guys runing SLP long tubes, O/R y-pipe, and a borla (some have loudmouths) and lets just say the last time they went under a underpass and reved it hard next to a old lady, the old lady almost went off the road.
